It was a cold weekend here in New York but I still got out and about and explored and had loads of fun.
I kept a low profile Friday night and stayed in with the girls of Sex and the City. I finished season 1 of the series with some wine and treats from Magnolia Bakery.
Saturday I met up with David for lunch at Martinique cafe up by Broadway and 32 St. After grabbing a bite to eat we headed over to the New York Public Library.
They had a small exhibit entitled Three Faiths that we took a look at before exploring the rest of the museum.
Then we continued to walk around the library. Walking up the same steps that Carrie from SATC did for her wedding before she got jilted by Mr. Big. We walked through the reading room and the quiet rooms. Such amazing architecture and beauty of the library.
After the library we headed over to the Roasting Plant to get a cup of hot chocolate from Tannar. Thankfully he was working and we warmed ourselves up with the hot coco. Thanks Tannar :-)
From there we made out way past Anderson Cooper's apt and to the Chelsea Market. So many good gourmet food shops. Wine, great food, treats and so much more. My aunt Linda would have been in heaven I think. I loved how all these great shops were in one place. There was a wine shop where you could buy wine and if you wanted get it opened and then find a table and sit down and enjoy. So of course we did along with some bread from Amy's Bakery.

After the market David headed to the gym and I went home. About an hour or so later David came over and we had some wine and then made our way to Marie's Crisis, a piano bar in the West Village.

Today I went to brunch with the brunch crew (Lesley, Brett, Duyen, and Sally) at Falai Caffe on the Lower East Side.

After brunch I headed to Astoria to explore with Will, a guy I chatted with on Scruff. We walked around the area while he pointed out a few of the interesting spots of the area. It may be an area I end up checking out if I make the move here.
Now I am sitting at home enjoying some wine on this Sunday night.

stop ditching me for people on Scruff
