mmmm....I got a cookie before I left the Roasting Plant...mmmm, YUMMY. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious. Warm, soft, and gooey in the middle. After I finished the cookie my hands were covered in chocolate gooeyness. I had to dip my hands in the snow and wash them clean.
After The Roasting Plant I wandered back to the apt with the plan of figuring out how to get down to the Brooklyn Bridge. I got home, checked a few maps and grabbed my bag. I made my way over to the R train at Prince and Broadway. I took that just 2 stops down to City Hall. After I got off the train I managed to find the walkway to the Brooklyn Bridge and proceeded to walk across. To set the mood I plugged into my music and selected the Sex and the City soundtrack. I thought it was kind of appropriate. As I walked along with the other tourist and locals I snapped a few pics.
Here are a few...
At one point on the bridge I could see the Statue of Liberty to one side and the Empire State building to the other. :-)
It was a great first walk over the bridge.
After walking over to Brooklyn and back I decided to bypass the subway and just walk back to the apt. I headed up Broadway and the issue I came across was....I like the street I am walking up but what about that one in the other direction? Should I walk up that? Should I stay on the street I am on? They all can be so interesting and mysterious. Such a big city with tons of nooks and crannies.
