All my bags are packed I'm ready to go....
Just like my mother I started/finished packing my bags this morning. I did organize a few nights ago but the bulk of it all was done this morning. I did a load of laundry and then started packing up.
Meeting up with Tommy in a little bit before I go at a cafe around the corner. Then I'll hail a taxi and head to the airport. JetBlue Terminal 5 here I come.
There will probably be one more entry after this and then the blog comes to an end.
Thank you all for reading, commenting, and following me along on my adventure here in NYC the last 2 months. :-)

A trip down under
Tonight I went to Australia, well ok Broadway.
After the great month crashing with David I took him out to see the Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert on Broadway. The show started their previews last night. I managed to get front row (on the side) mezzanine seats.
The show was.........FABULOUS!!! I loved it!!!
It was campy, it was fun, it was a laugh riot, it was a great time, it was dragtastic. The movie will always be my favorite but this version was amazing. If you are in NYC you should totally check this show out.

Mamma Rice n' Friends
David and I hit up Williamsburg tonight to see Tommy in his cabaret show, Mama Rice n' Friends. It was a great show....lots of laughter...which I LOVE!!!
The theme of the show tonight...
"It's Black "Her-story" Month here in Brooklyn and Mamma's got a couple things to say! Or is it STILL Valentine's in Mamma's Hood (and Lady Landlord has a few opinions about love)?"

Wish I were here next month to see another show.

Last week was a bit...
Last week was a bit of a mellow week. After a great weekend with the parents I finally caught the office bug about midweek. So therefore there wasn't really anything worthy of posting on here. Took a couple of half days on Thursday and Friday and then ended up sleeping most of the day on Saturday.
Fun times!!!
Well this week is my last week in NYC. I am feeling better this morning and I still have a few more fun events planned before I leave on Thursday.
Tonight I am heading to Williamsburg to see Tommy perform in his cabaret show.
Tomorrow I am taking David to see a new broadway show, "Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert".
Wednesday will be my last day in the office followed probably by drinks at XES with the coworkers.
:-)

How could I forget...
Ok so in all my posting about this weekends events I forgot one of the highlights. Besides having a great weekend with my parents. I also got the chance to see one of my favorite artist...
Gregory Douglass!!!
He was in town recording for a new album and he played a gig on Sunday night at the Living Room.
A great show as always and he even played a song I requested too....the 2nd song was a shout out to me.

Snow and Natural History
Sunday I met up with my folks and on my way over to meet them I took these pics...
We met up with my cousin Stevie at Artie's Deli. www.arties.com
Of course I had to have a brisket sandwich. Me at a deli almost always equals getting brisket...mmmm.
After lunch with Stevie we made our way to the American Natural History museum. Here are a few dino pics for Elan and then some of the view of Central Park.
After the museum we got a few cookies at Insomnia and then headed back the the apt. Mom rested up and Dad and I went out for a beer. Later that night we met up with Uncle Max for dinner.
What a full fun filled weekend with the parents. :-)
